NMBR11 (pronounced ‘number -eleven) is an Alabama based international act founded by artists Bernard Bulhack and Yeshiva Lex. They join forces to create songs that reflect the wide variety of influences they have picked up along the road, which ranges from Americana, Blues, Roots, Folk, Jazz, Latin, and Rock. They are two time Global Music Awards Winners for Best Song (”Move Me”) and Duo/band and Best Song (“Please Forgive Me”).
NMBR11 was born in 2012 after the duo met while joining a blues project. Born and raised in South America, they both came to the US to study music (Bernard - FIU & FAU alumni & Yeshiva - Berklee alumni). Being exposed to many cultures resulted in the rich sound they now deliver in their music. Yeshiva and Bernard pour their hearts and souls into the production of their projects, contributing as songwriters, producers, recording engineers, arrangers, and performers, with the aid of phenomenal collaborators along the way.
The band’s sophomore album titled Shapes of Blue: Uncovered, was recorded at Muscle Shoal’s own Wishbone Studios, and South Florida’s The Hit Factory Criteria Miami. Shapes of Blue: Uncovered was produced by Billy Lawson, Bernard and Yeshiva. It includes contributions by Grammy winner producer Dan Warner, Grammy - nominated engineer Daniel Beard and esteemed musicians Will McFarlane, Bob Wray, Milton Sledge, Brad Guin, Lee Levin and Juan Etchegorry. This album is a tribute to the band’s blues roots and influences, with a tip of the hat to Mr. Robert Johnson, the first song to connect the duo in the first place. Their debut album “Follow The Song” was also recorded in Muscle Shoals, AL at Wishbone Studios, and produced by Billy Lawson and NMBR11. This album delivers strong lyrical and musical content. It has been described as honest, emotional, inspirational and with a direct message.
Yeshiva and Bernard have shared the stage bringing their show to venues and festivals such as The Princess Theatre, The Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Historical Roxy Theatre, Club de Jazz de Santiago, Pompano Beach Seafood Festival, The Funky Biscuit, Lagniappe House, The Brewhouse Gallery, Americana Music Community Association, Churchill’s Miami, South Florida Blues Society, Taste of North Miami Festival, Smoke On The Water Festival, Champy's Muscle Shoals, and The Regent South Beach, to name a few.
